The story
How it went.
For this Strana 23, a 22.5 kW electric drive from Green Marine was chosen, a perfect match for the light and extremely efficient hull design. The boat was developed with electric propulsion as the starting point from the very first design phase, which shows directly in its low energy consumption and smooth handling.
The electric motor delivers instant torque, so the boat accelerates without delay and moves through the water effortlessly. Combined with the efficient hull, the result is a drivetrain that needs little power to reach a comfortable cruising speed.
The system is built from five batteries with a total capacity of 25 kWh. This configuration offers a strong balance between weight, performance and range, making the boat suitable for long, relaxed days on the water without charging in between.
Thanks to the fully electric drive, the boat is silent and completely free of vibrations. The result is a relaxed experience on the water, with the focus on the surroundings and the company on board rather than on the technology.
The combination of a light construction, a smart hull shape and an efficient electric motor makes this Strana 23 a perfect example of how modern electric drive systems come into their own in smaller boats.
