The story
How it went.
The AdmiralsTender X28 Fast Electric was designed as a fast tender with performance, comfort and looks at its core. The electric version therefore needed a propulsion system that delivers enough power for higher speeds, without sacrificing comfort or range.
For this project, a powerful 45 kW electric motor from Green Marine was chosen, combined with a 53 kWh battery pack. This allows the tender to reach speeds of up to 32 km/h, while the relatively large battery capacity means longer distances can be covered fully electrically.
At a cruising speed of 9 km/h, the X28 Fast Electric can run for up to 20 hours, good for a distance of around 180 kilometres. Under way it stays silent and comfortable on board, with no exhaust fumes, engine noise or vibrations.
